Not much to put on today, but here is something I found.
I was skiing down No Name/Lower Pyramids at Snowbasin, and I found that with the following slopes:
- Steeper than 35 degrees
- Untouched Snow
- 7,000 to 9,000 feet
When skiing down these slopes, I could see the new snow layer collapsing into something that could cause an avalanche. This all goes with the current expert forecasts; be careful in avalanche areas outside of ski boundaries, or stay away from them all together until the snow settles.
