After a few days of raging weather, I caught a break in the action, scored some amazing snow, and while little glimpses of sun helped me retain my tan... it felt like a mid winter day.

I took my own advice, avoided avalanche terrain , and found glorious skiing on low angle spines facing the south half of the compass.

I wanted to see what lower elevation shady slopes looked like after avalancing early in the mid January cycle. The slope above avalanched 1/12/24 failing on mid Dec NSF and a layer of SH. On this slope, the snow structure has come full circle and ECT's produced negative results.
