Snow Characteristic Comments:

Snow from 12.21.10 was much lower density then previous storm snow. Observed lack of cohesion in new snow but CT was not able to produce results in new snow because of low density. The crust about 70cm off the ground is the layer that appeared to be most unstable based on compression tests.
