Entire snowpack has gone bad!     Very loose faceted snow in the upper layers of the snowpack....  starting to sink deeper and deeper into sand-like snow..  Hitting more rocks than in the last couple weeks because you sink in deeper even with fat boards...

The snow in Hells Kitchen is around 2.5 feet deep, and it has deteriorated significantly with the clear and cold weather...  The entire snowpack is sugary, lacking any cohesion.  It's like digging in a sandbox....

Double Top Mountain at the head of Steep Canyon in Franklin Basin looks pretty well covered from afar, but closer inspection shows how boney the snow cover is even up high....
