The snow conditions were surprisingly good. There was 1-2" of fresh snow on top of 1-2" of recrystalized snow. Shaded areas did not have a sun or wind crust. More open areas did have a thin crust below the new snow. Turning conditions were much better than expected, but the snow pack was very thin ranging from 20-70cm. Care needed to be taken to avoid the rocks and stumps.

Elevation:

Trend:
Same
Primary Concern Comments:
There was ~10cm of depth hoar on the ground. This would still be a concern on steeper aspects, but on the less steep aspects we skied we had minimal concern. If you did find a pocket, the ride would still be a rough one through the rocks as with only a 70cm snowpack, it would most likely pull out to the ground.
