Our party felt a collapse in a forest opening around 6300'.  I dug a pit in the next clearing and found 1 cm buried surface hoar, frozen to the bottom of the MLK crust.  The slope was less than 30 degrees, but compression tests produced a clean, energetic Q1 shear.

The dust layer is just under the new snow from Wed. 2/16, likely from the strong winds earlier in the week (2/14 through 2/16).

At 8200' on a NW slope, was also able to find intact surface hoar, with stability tests producing Q2 shears, mostly just above the crust.
