Light rimed snow falling. Wind was moderate gusting to strong over the ridgelines.

Snow Characteristic Comments: 

Rimed snow falling at the time the test pit was dug. There was a mixture of new snow and broken wind blown snow in the top 20cm of the snowpack. Below that was broken down snow that was 4f in hardness. The M/F crust varied from 10-25cm off of the ground level. The snow below the M/F crust was mixed forms that had some hard edges as well as evidence of rounding.

Red Flag Comments: 

Observed a slide on the Baldy Shoulder that slid down onto the cat track. It was hard to tell if it was natural or human triggered. It slid approximately 150 vertical feet and would have been enough to take someone off their feet, but not bury them.
