Weather Discussion

  • Enjoy today while you can, with rapidly warming temperatures and sunshine.

Saturday we should see a sharp cold front arrive around noon. There does not appear to be much pre-frontal moisture but the morning should start out with high clouds and strong winds from the south and southwest of 20-30 mph along the ridges. Snow should begin around noon and it should snow hard through the afternoon as the cold front passes. Total snow amounts look to be around a foot--more in some areas, less in others. Snow should end by Sunday afternoon as the flow turns more northeasterly and the moisture becomes shallow. Ridge top temperatures should be in the mid 20's on Saturday morning and drop to the mid teens on Saturday night and Sunday night.
