Wasatch Mountain Weather

Weather Discussion

  • 03/10/2010 - 10:09am
  • The Wasatch mountains will be under a light westerly flow for the remainder of the day, bringing partly cloudy skies and a chance for occasional convective mountain snow showers.  Tonight and tomorrow, northern Utah will be under a cool, northerly flow and the cooler 10,000' temperatures (10 deg F) should hold through Thursday, though skies will be mostly sunny.

Extended Outlook

  •   Friday will be a cooker, with sunny skies, 10,000' temperatures jumping to near freezing, and light southwesterly winds.  The next storm is forecast to reach Utah Saturday.  Once again, it looks like the storm will split, with most of the energy going through southern Utah.  However, the computer models are still changing run to run, and have not settled on a solution.  Then warm and dry high pressure for the beginning of next week.
