The Level 3 course is the highest level of formal avalanche training in the U. S.

The focus of this course is efficiency and mastery of skills.  Approximately half of this course is classroom based and the other half is field based.  We will travel in the backcountry, in and around avalanche terrain.  This course is recognized by the American Mountain Guides Association.  This is a pass/fail course and an application is required.

Classroom sessions will be at the Cliff Lodge at the Snowbird Resort.  Field sessions will be in Little Cottonwood Canyon with on possible day at the Canyons Resort near Park City.
