The Level 2 course will build on what was learned in the Level 1.  Topics such as rescue, travel in avalanche terrain, stability assessment, and snowpack metamorphism are reviewed and covered in greater depth.  Exceptions to Level 1 “rules” are introduced.  Forty percent of the course is in the classroom and sixty percent is in the field.  During field sessions we will travel in and around avalanche terrain.

 Classroom sessions will be held at the Canyons Resort, specific classroom TBD.  Field sessions will be at the Canyons Resort and surrounding backcountry.
