Route Map: 

Grizzly Gulch to Twin Lakes Pass:  Very popular tour.   Park at the end of the LCC road (above the upper Alta parking lot) and follow the Alta summer trail to where it wraps back toward Michigan City.  Avoid the lower Grizzly Gulch terrain traps.  Follow the summer trail to Twin Lakes Pass.  Some avalanche terrain sits above the trail as it ascends through Michigan City.  A nice tour of nearly 2 miles and 1200’ through historic mining terrain above Alta.  Alta ski area runs a cat skiing operation here and this terrain is often a ‘home run’ for the Wasatch Powderbird Guides.   Dogs are not allowed in the watershed of LCC.
