7th Annual Utah Snow and Avalanche Workshop
What is avalanche knowledge worth to you?
Do you use the Utah Avalanche Center to help you make decisions in the backcountry? Most of the cost of producing daily advisories and providing other avalanche information in Utah is paid for by donations and grants. We depend on users like you to help support the Utah Avalanche Center.
Please consider donating to the Utah Avalanche Center this season and have a great winter!
PREREGISTRATION IS CLOSED. TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AFTER NOON SATURDAY AT THE DOOR.
Please join us on Saturday, Nov 2, 2013 at the Southtowne Exposition Center in Sandy for the 6th Annual Utah Snow and Avalanche Workshop. Avalanche professionals and recreationists from around the West will gather to talk about avalanche issues and share knowledge, including the most latest information from the International Snow Science Workshop.
Brought to you by a generous grant from Xinsurance
A summary of the latest research and state-of-the-art knowledge from the October International Snow Science Workshop will be presented.
The morning session is open to professionals only (resort employees, Department of Transportation employees, Search and Rescue personnel, guides, forecasters, etc.) and the afternoon will be open to the public, with more focus on backcountry and recreationist issues. If you qualify as an avalanche professional and would like to attend the morning pro session, please go here for more information.
The day will end with a happy hour social.
Buy your tickets online to save a few $ and some time getting in (you will be on the Will Call list). Tickets at the door will be $30
