Snow Profile
Snow Profile Comments:

Obvious new snow instabilities on steep slopes.  Extended column test showed a full propagation failure at the new snow interface (8-10 inches).  No other failures were noted during the extended column test.  Several failures at were observed during the compression tests as noted in the profile.

General Comments

It was a lonely day in the backcountry today.  We only heard one other group of riders in the Tony area all day.  Probably a good plan since it was blizzard conditions up high.  We made several runs up high but the wind blew us away.  We moved into more protected terrain where we found great turning conditions.  The new snow did not bond well to the old snow and we set loose multiple avalanches on steep (38+ degree slopes)
