General Comments

Unintentionally triggered slab avalanche while skiing down ridgeline near Soldier Fork. I was on the windward side when leeward slab broke out 10 feet below. Slab was 100' wide windloaded slope failing on surface hoar facets which ran 40 feet into the trees. Aspect: NW (300 deg). Elevation: 8800'.
