FORECASTER COMMENTS: Snowmobile triggered avalanche on a small terrain feature in the trees. This involved the newest layer of snow which was 10 to 12" deep. All of the other avalanches I saw from this last storm were in areas exposed to the wind. This is not exactly a location that I would have pegged for an avalanche to release since it's not really in exposed terrain but rather down in the canyon farther amongst trees.
