The Utah Avalanche Center in partnership with Black Diamond Equipment present the 2013 Snowbird Freeride Avalanche Summit
The Utah Avalanche Center, Black Diamond, and Snowbird are teaming up to present a workshop designed and presented by pro riders for pro riders, advanced skiers, and anyone who likes to use backcountry terrain aggressively.
This 2 day on-snow workshop will cover topics like critical decision making, assessing snow stability, active terrain management, effective partner rescue, and situation management when things go wrong. We will focus on big mountain freeride issues, addressing steep complicated terrain, working with resort resources, quickly assessing unfamiliar terrain, and balancing the desire to bag big dramatic lines with surviving to ride another day.
The cost is $175 and pre-registration is required. Discount lift tickets will be available for non-pass holders for $42.00
